Great Harwood Lourdes Group

This group travels to Lourdes in August each year to spend a weekend at Our Lady's Shrine. Because 2008 celebrates the 150th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady to Bernadette, this year we hope to spend a little more time in Lourdes. As a working Pilgrimage we welcome both able and disabled pilgrims to travel with us. During our pilgrimage to Lourdes, we follow the example of Pope John Paul 11 when he visited Lourdes, and stay in the Accueil Notre Dame, a hospital situated in the Domain directly opposite the Grotto.

Pilgrim Organisers: Cath Dunn, Michelle Kelly, Jane Gallagher, Bernie Theaker. (Please contact through Father Clarke)

HCPT Group

In recent years a link has been formed with the Handicapped Children's Pilgrimage Trust (HCPT). Money is raised by the Parish to pay for children to join the Pilgrimage to Lourdes. Volunteer helpers from the parish accompany the annual Easter Pilgrimage.

Anyone wishing to join the Group please contact Father Clarke for further details.
